As a meeting of the International Maritime Organization’s Intersessional Working Group on Reduction of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions from Ships (ISWG-GHG 20) closes in London, the Clean Shipping Coalition (CSC) applauds IMO Member States for rising above last week’s rancour – when the IMO decided to hold off on adoption for one year – by pushing ahead with preparations for adoption of the Net Zero Framework.
As a special meeting of the International Maritime Organization’s Marine Environment Protection Committee (IMO, MEPC/ES.2) closes in London, the Clean Shipping Coalition (CSC) expressed its huge disappointment in the decision by member states to delay consideration of the adoption of the IMO’s Net-Zero Framework (NZF) for one year and called on member states to use the time to ensure the framework is strengthened and adopted next time round.
As a special meeting of the International Maritime Organization’s Marine Environment Protection Committee (IMO, MEPC/ES.2) opens tomorrow in London, the Clean Shipping Coalition is calling on IMO member states to adopt the IMO’s Net-Zero Framework (NZF) – set to be the first globally binding set of policies to reduce shipping’s climate pollution.
